How do I get it to work for Gutsy? I have all the required libraries now installed for it according to synaptic (had to download everything manually from Ubuntu packages site *wipes brow*, (I have no realistic means for accessing internet through Ps3), but I'm hazy on the makefile instructions for the mame app itself. What do I do? I have 0 programming skill outside of PHP/DHtml.

Also, does anyone know of a working Genesis emulator for the Playstation? Dgen doesn't work and I have the same frustrating time with the Xe Multisystem as I do sdlmame. I have working Snes and Nes so far, I just need a nudge across the finish line.

I've always got on well with Generator as an emulator for the Mega Drive although Gens is also available but I found that a bit CPU hungry.

As for Mame, if you install kxmame through Synaptic it works well as a front end. You'll have to configure the right directories for your roms and make sure they are left in the zip archive or they won't work. You'll also need to do an audit of all games so it knows which ones you've got and which ones work.

Gens doesn't appear to be suited for linux on the Ps3. I got nowhere and it looks like it's for x86. I saw no makefile for Generator inside its directory. Do I just run it from the terminal?
