[SOLVED] BSOD on Windows XP Home Edition SP2 Setup.

On the install CD, when starting it, it says:

A problem has occurred and Windows has been shut down to prevent damage
to your computer.

SESSION3_INITIALIZATION_FAILED

If this is the first time you've seen this Stop error screen,
restart your computer.  If this screen appears again, follow
these steps:

Check to make sure any new hardware or software is properly installed.
If this is a new installation, ask your hardware or software manufacturer
for any Windows updates you might need.

If problems continue, disable or remove any newly installed hardware 
or software.  Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing.
If you need to use Safe Mode to remove or disable components, restart
your computer, press F8 to select Advanced Startup Options, and then
select Safe Mode.

I just need to get onto the CD to use the Recovery Console.

You can use a Linux "rescue" CD to access your data on a Windows machine.

If you are trying to reinstall, just remember you will wipe out all the data on the hard drive.

A recovery CD only works usually with one type of computer. E-machines and Gateway (for example) have specific restore/recovery Cds for each computer model.

EDIT: Now the CD is working! But I didn't do anything to it.

EDIT: Now Windows XP is working.
