I use both Firefox and Opera browsers.
I also use CPU Frequency Scaling Moniter 2.24.1.
I don't know if any other problems occur with other programs, but most assuredly with my browsers.
Here's the problem... After a short while it seems the browsers begin to do something that brings my CPU Scaling right to the top at 2.20ghz and keeps going until my computer completely shuts down by CPU overheating.
Here's the strange part...I have been able to close my browsers before my computer shuts down and open top as superuser and kill the "browser" process that keeps on going even after the browsers have been closed BUT killing the process does not kill the process...it keeps right on going and going until of course my computer shuts down because of CPU overheating.
Where do iI begin to address this problem?
One thing I've done is put a lock on my CPU Scaling monitor program to say 1.8ghz, at which time my cpu can max out for longer periods.
Do you think it may be a bug in the CPU Scaling Moniter program?
Someone help please.
