I just wanted to say that I'm new to Linux and Ubuntu and I love it. I feel like I'm in control of my PC again. How did windoze ever trick me into sticking with tehm for so long?!:KS

You think so? I wonder if they're trying to "trick" people, or if they're just trying to do what any business would do - push their product. In a competitive business market, you want to make yourself indispensable.
Of course, how you go about that determines whether you're a competitive business or a monopolizing, money-hungry, power-hungry corporation.
I don't know much about Microsoft's business practices, so I guess it's all speculation, eh?
