I have a ps3 running Ubuntu 8.10 PPC 64, witch is running smoothly how ever i want to know how can i get the boot splash screen to come up. With out messing with any other OS program to do it? Is there any thing i can do to make it come up or get a new one. I like to put in its place if i cant get it to come up that way.

Install gnome-art & download a new splash screen, just might fit the bill.
