I've installed ubuntu today. Anyway, It's my first time in linux ;)

My problem is; When I look at the device manager, any of my hardware recognized... What shold I do to define them??

Anarchy and Linux... What a blend!

What exactly is your problem?

#3

That's the problemS.. :(

  • Device manager doesn't recognise any of my hardware...
  • I can play music under xmms, but there's no sound elsewhere. I "must" connect my speakers to digital output. Because my analog output is broken :(
  • And I don't know how do I install any program or driver... I try to say "how to" install... What's the steps?

I know they're too much, but I said that it's my first time ;)

Thanks so...

I install Kubuntu (KDM) and I think some of my problems solved... But still there's no sound of linux :( (I can play my MP3's under xmms)

I think device menager still doesn't remember my devices... This is a problem??

#5

No sound at all, or just XMMS?

#6

Did you run "alsamixer" (at the prompt) to see if you have the volumes turn on?

#7

All Volumes turned up!...

Under xmms, I can hear music, but other programs and sections I can't...
