Why would Intrepid need a point release?
that's what i heard because they say intrepid is still a bit buggy. i remember someone told me in the IRC that they're going to release OOo 3 along with 8.10.1.

I wouldn't really count on it. A point release to a non-LTS is disruptive to the current development goals not to mention they will have to create new ISOs for every arch then push it as well to shipit. Since OOo is part of main, that would mean a lot of QA work. But I maybe wrong. On my part no big dealbreakers for me in 8.10.
never thought it would be such a complicated process. maybe they will have it as an update wherein they won't go as far as that? no dealbreakers for me too. just missed seeing the progress bar of the update manager.:) but honestly, i read and heard it somewhere that there's gonna be a point realease.

Nagmamatter lang yon pag sa live CD. Pag Intrepid ka at naguupdate ka ng packages, yan na ang latest and greatest Ubuntu.
