im on a network and have to use a proxy to connect to net.
On Synaptic if i leave it as a direct connection to net i can see all packages but it times out on downloading. if i enter the proxy it then does not display the any packages....
any ideas?

any ideas? ok i typed in IP and restarted synaptic and now it loads from the servers fine but does not display packages... any ideas?
