Newbie wants MP3 CD Burner

Hi

I am a bit of a newbie to Ubuntu.

Wondered is anyone could help me, I have a CD player in the Car that will play MP3s. I am looking for a CD burner that will all me to burner my MP3 collection to MP3 CD's but will reduce the bit rate as part of the burn process so I can get move on a CD ?

I use gnome.

Try using whatever CD burner you have(Gnomebaker?) and simply burn the discs as data discs NOT audio, worked for me when I wanted to do the same thing but using my DVD player for playing music.

Sorry if I didn't make my question clear, I know how to burn the MP3 Music CD's but I already have my music stored as MP3. I would to reduce the bit rates to get more on a CD. Windows Media player has an option to reduce the rate as you burn the CD, however it only does it for WMA.

Youll Have To Rencode To Lower Bitrate First.A Hassle Maybe Even Have To Go To Wav First.If Youve Got Original Cd,s You Could Extract CD Again @ Lower Bitrates.But U Can Get Alot Of 320kb,s Songs On A Cd.And They Sound So Much Better.:guitar:smuggly

Hi, I use KAudioCreator to make mp3. and I use Brasero Disk Burner for CD making. The information to get apps and install them were in this forum a short time ago. The monitors have removed the pre-forum from the more experienced users above this part of the forum. I'm sure if you look, you can still find the commands for the terminal to have them installed. I have installed wine and I'm experimenting to find other apps that can operate in both worlds of Ubuntu and Windows. :guitar:
