Well this is pretty simple. I installed the ATi Linux drivers from the ATi homepage, no real biggy, well the config is lacking alot for ex. Swedish isn't even in the menu for language :/ But anyways, got it working and got the TV-out showing and all that (haven't tried games yet)
Now I have a few problems
- The Picture on movies when I put them to fullscreen gets pixelated, edges are very ugly and no fun at all to watch (don't have the same problem using standard Ubuntu settings".
- The TV-out or to be more exact the TV I use has a 800x600 disp, my screen is at 1280x1024 and the TV also gets a desktop that goes outside the view and drags around ( no change when in fullscreen mode)
- The ATi Control that was added, well I can't get that running at all, tried all kinds of ways but just won't do anything.
So what I'm wondering is
- Is there a easy way to get back the better quality?
- If I have to switch back to Standard settings on the xorg.conf can I somehow still use TV-out and what do I have to do to get it?
- Is there anyway to get the TV-out to show a fullscreen view of a video even if you don't have it on fullscreen on the main screen?
- is there a way to get the TV-out to show 800x600 and still have 1280x1024 on the main screen?
