A recovery or driver partition, perhaps. What's in it?
I'll try and look later may also be some support for the flash HDD
the mini-9 is now successfully dual booting xp pro and Ubuntu 8.10
since the dell Ubuntu 8,04 is copied to the disk rather than installed it loaded to a primary active partition this made installing xp NG
installing xp to the primary active partition and letting [non dell] Ubuntu install to the largest unused space, Ubuntu installed in an extended partition.
it just works [now]
