Hi All,

I was wondering if someone could help me.

I have installed 8.10 and have all the updates. I am not a nobe, I've taught computer repair and have been trying since winblows 98 se came out to find a good os. I thought suse was it until I found unbutu 7. I love this os.

Now to get to the point, I recently got a error message with no id. It just says that I should fork, but it does not tell me which app timed out or what to fork. I've look for some answers in the forum and tried some other forums but to no avail. I even dusted of the users manual to look and see what it was all about. Do you have any ideas?

Thanks for any help.

not much to go here. When and and Where do you see the message?

Sorry, I should of thought of that myself. I try to update, is when I get it. It says

" The backend took to much time to process the synchcronous request. you need to fork!"

You should try searching google with the complete error message, I came up with this. I assume you are using packagekit, as you are still pretty short on details.
