New Ubuntu convert

Hi there,

Just wanted to express my happiness with Ubuntu.

I'm a recent convert from Mandriva. I've been a Linux user for about 12 years and I've always thought of it as only a server OS. With my dissatisfaction with Vista, I've been looking for a good Linux OS that would work as I was wanting. Mandriva was close, but no cigar. On a whim, I tried out Ubuntu. Wow. Everything works. My Ipod comes right up and plays, it imported all my documents and my wireless network worked right out of the box. I'm so very impressed.

Great job to all the developers. This is truely a great alternative to Windows.

Well...most of the time it just works. :P

@OP: Glad you found it. Ubuntu really is a great OS, especially if you're one of the fortunate ones who have non-weird hardware.
