Red Flag Linux

I was in Altex a few days ago browsing their laptops, and I noticed they had two from... Toshiba, I think, with a sticker boasting "Red Flag Linux". Upon booting one in the shop I only got a splash screen and then it asked me for a password, so I didn't get to try it. Wikipedia tells me that it's a Chinese-made distro aimed at the desktop market.

I've never heard of it before I saw it in this shop, but if an OEM is using it, then it must be decent enough, though at first glance it looks like an XP ripoff.

Anyone tried it/use it?

So what if it looks like XP? If people find it familair and easier to switch good for them. At the end of the day it is still Linux.

Oh yeah, I wasn't bagging it, just not my thing. Actually, it would make sense in the chinese market where piracy rates are so high.

It was in Chinese,...but I think you can click to translate. I believe it is the 'official" Chinese government authorized linux distro. (much like the Turkish government has "Pardus",....Iran has "Parsix",..etc. etc.)

What about the Linux Unified Kernel? MagicLinux uses that.
