In the forum's FAQ I didn't find this question; how can I change the settings of the pop up window that shows when holding the mouse over a message? It disappears too quickly to read.

I'm not 100% sure about this, but I believe that has to do with your web browser and not the forums.

That is correct.
There was a longish thread about this a few weeks or so back. Apparently it can be done in the forums software.

If I remember correctly, that thread was about whether those bubbles ought to be shown at all. This thread appears to be about the duration for which they ought to be shown. Related but different issues, I think.
