ATI drivers 8.20.8 and libdri errors (even with older libdri.a)

Hi,

i just installed the ATI drivers and hoped to get 3D support.

I have a radeon mobile 9600 in my Inspiron 8600.

When i start the X Server i get the old known dri error (something like libdri.a not found). There is a workaround in the forum where one can download an alternative libdri.a file. I copied it over but still get that stupid error...

Any ideas???
