Are we going to get ppc packages or do we have to wait for Dapper?

i would say you will have to wait for Kdapper because backporting takes ages anyway and there are an awful amount of dependancies for kde all of which would need to be backported.
from what i have read there will be alot of extas (plasma,etc) and internal updates to kde 1.5 so i would wait anyway but if you can't wait do a dual boot with pure debian sid/etch (very unstable) and see how it works on your hardware
:( I guess I shouldn't have upgraded my x86 machine. I like to have both platforms act more or less the same.
In my ideal universe, once you backported for one architecture, all you would have to do is recompile for the other architectures. But it's probably never that simple.
