Hi,

My host OS is Windows XP Home, and I installed Ubuntu 8.10 on Virtualbox (latest version). The Remote Display has been enabled and is working.

When I tried to connection from a remote desktop client, it could get connected straightly without any login + pw required. I tried all 3 options on Virtualbox for remote display authentication: Null, Guest, External, but none made any difference.

Is there any way for me to enable login + pw for remote display to secure it?

Thanks!

You can configure secure connection and the use of password in Ubuntu itself. You have vino installed by default, you can configure it as you require ...

I hope this is what you meant ...
