I am about to get Arch on my third hard drive, and I'm not sure if I should go with 64 bit or 32 bit. Is there any noticeable difference? Have I been missing out on 64 bit Ubuntu? Is the cake really a lie?

I tried 64-bit but couldn't find drivers for my wireless card.

Arch64 works perfectly. The openjdk6 "Iced Tea" java plugin for 64bit and the new flashplugin-alpha for 64bit both work perfectly.

Plus you can add packages like the Firefox-optimized for your 64bit processor, and if you don't mind compiling then you can re-compile your entire system to use your processor's C[XX]FLAGS.

As for the 64bit wireless thing..... I have a new HP DV9920US that uses a BCM4322pre-n 64bit wireless card and so far there is no official support for it yet (at least it's being worked on): http://linuxwireless.org/en/users/Drivers/b43#unsupported

There are blobs released for these unsupported BCM drivers that can be configured with ndiswrapper. I just use a USB wifi adapter that works perfectly for me until they get the BCM 4322n driver working.
