Hi, Trying to install Ubuntu 5.10 on a Compaq presario 5000. The install cd failed and the live cd too. It seems to be a problem with the onboard sound card. The motherboard (UWAVE2) have a VIA VT82c686a sound chip.AC97. When I disable it in bios I get the live cd to work. But I would realy like to have sound in ubuntu. Can anyone help me.Please.
