Trust Keyboard fails to work with Ubuntu

I've got this relatively recent (about a year or so old) keyboard by Trust (full name is Trust Multi Function Keyboard) and it works fine if I hotplug it after the system is running but it will not work at all if I boot the system with it plugged in (it's ps/2 BTW)... In fact, none of the lights (bar the Office one!) come on in this situation - all I can do is reboot then reconnect it after the boot as I cannot login obviously ;)

It's not a major problem but was wondering if there's any way of debugging it and help make it recognised in the next version of Ubuntu. BTW it used to work fine under Mandrake so it may be a Ubuntu/Debian specific issue...

Even weirder - the multimedia keys are mapped correctly if I plug in after Linux is up and running.

Cool stuff there - It won't solve my problem with the Trust keyboard but it will be great to map those bonus laptop keys to do something useful :)

hey I wasn't complaining at all :D Thanks for the info - I've used it to great effect on my laptop. As for the Trust keyboard, I'll leave it aside for the mo - I've got enough keyboards hanging about for me not to need it for the time being.
