pictures not loading on internet pages?

Hello,

I had a virus and have just had returned fixes, said it was one where it routed everything to it and they had to fix manually. anyway, one thing that is still happening is all pictures, icons, logos etc are not loading but I can see if i right click and click on show picture. Does anyone know if any settings anywhere I can chg? I am running windows xp with standard ie.
