Hi! I have an Intel GMA 950 on my laptop. I used to have Vista, and when I did, my graphics card had 224MB of shared RAM. Now that I have downgraded to XP (for various reasons), installed the XP drivers, my graphics memory is now 64MB. I don't see why it would lower my graphics memory after I installed XP/the XP drivers. Does anybody have an idea?

My specs are in my signature.

Thanks! EnergySamus

I have a hunch that the operating system controls how much video ram is used for the Intel GMA 950. I have a laptop with the same chip and the specs say up to 224MB video RAM shared with the system RAM.

Perhaps there is a way to adjust the settings somewhere in the control panel.

It's dynamic, taking what it needs as it needs it. Some laptops offer the option of setting the minimum memory allocated in BIOS settings.
