Hello!

I'm sitting here with my brother and I have problems with getting the inbuilt mic to work.

It does not work with any applications including Skype. What shall I do?

The Linux system is Debian Lenny "testing" on an 64 bit X2 AMD laptop. The mic is working, because it has been working before (not after an fresh install, though) but it does not work at the present and I have no idea of how to fix this.

Try raising the mic input volume from alsamixer.

It is not a usb mic, is it?

No, it isn't. The problem is solved now, b.t.w.

The mute option is supposed to be unclicked and after that it works.
