[SOLVED] SUN wireless on UBUNTU?

hi guys. this is my first post.

ryt now im downloading my own copy of ubuntu. first time user ako ng linux, tanong ko is gagana ba yung sun broadband ko sa ubuntu? will i be able to install the built in software?

im a novice ubuntu user, so please help me.

sun broadband is using a huawei e220 modem. hindi ko pa naiinstall yung ubuntu kasi hindi ko alam kung gagana yung internet. hope you guys can help.

you can't install the software for you modem,

however, huawei e220 modem is compatible with ubuntu

just try it in livecd before installing.

i decided to install ubuntu anyway. its is great that ubuntu can automatically set the conenction for you. all you have to do is click on the country and the network carrier and you're good to go! although i had to go back to vista and check sun broadband's apn and change the apn at ubuntu from minternet (sun cellular) to fbband (sun wireless broadband)

it would be nice if you post Sun's APN, for others who might be needing it aterwards. :)

ayan po as stated on my previous post i changed the apn from

minternet

to

fbband

thanks for the tip... kaya pala ayaw gumana noong huawei ng boss ko sa laptop ko.

saan ba nakuha ng ubuntu list na yun? sana update din nila.
