when i get the .deb from the website, it says it needs java, but i already have JRE installed with the ubuntu-restricted-extras package. I tried frostwire, it installs and everything except when i click on it, it won't start. any help apprectiated. by the way i'm on a ps3, not an apple.

My understanding is that both frostwire and limewire expect to have the sun-java6-jre package, which isn't available for powerpc. You do have openjdk-6-jre installed, right? Which version? What error messages does frostwire give you? Instead of clicking on it, open a terminal and start it from there to see the messages more easily.
