I just discovered alltry

it's a function i missed fo for a long time. Now it's possible to ban every application (e.g. like thunderbird) into the systray.

They've offer a ubuntu .deb package, but it's only version 0.60, the current version number is 0.65. I guess it would be a great addition to the backports.

it looks like for 0.65 there's an all distribution package. Did you try it?

No, i compiled the current version and made a checkinstall package. I like to to stay consistant with only one package manager.
