Windows wont shutdown

Hello, I recently got my Vista running again, but I have one BIG problem. My Vista will not shut down or restart. I have to hard boot it every time I want to turn it off, and one of these times I am going to hard boot it, and it will be corrupted. Is there a fix to this?
