What is the best way to play my windows games in ubuntu... I dont mind paying if it works. If i find an effective solution i will be windows free! Games i have Oblivion Armed Assult Raven Sheild Need for speed underground Toca race cars battlefield 2

WINE will let you run a lot of windows games and applications. You can install it through the repository (Applications -> Add/Remove). You can check out how well games work on http://appdb.winehq.org/ (WINE is free).
Alternatively you can pay for services like Cedega. If you're a hardcore gamer, this service might be more for you. http://www.cedega.com/ (Cedega is not free).
I tell you what really work. Asking the developers of the game to code a Linux loader.
Trust me it is not that hard. In fact, it is so easy all I had to do to get NwN up an running was load through a linux loader. I copied the data from the original disks even.
Yes, there where some slight bugs, and I think my low powered video card had something to do with it. But in the end, all the programs and OS's are coded in C++ so they speak the same language, just using different methods of talking.
For a quicker fix you might try WINE.
Hi. If gaming is a big part of your computer usage, I would suggest keeping windows and dual booting Ubuntu. Playing windows games with Wine (a program that acts as a compatibility layer so you can run windows applications in Linux) doesn't always work correctly--and sometimes, doesn't work at all. There's a Gaming & Leisure section where you can find out more about running native Linux games, and the Wine section where you can search or ask for issues with particular windows games. You can start by searching the Wine application database for the games you have and see if they run under Wine.
However, if you *do* decide to use only Ubuntu, there are many windows games that run great in Wine. Just give those forum sections a try.

vm ware probably wont work virtual machines don't have the best grafics and 3D Rendering:confused:

Yes, very possible; There are many native Linux games, and many windows games will run with Wine. just keep in mind that not *all* windows games work in Linux, and many don't work properly. For native games, look in Ubuntu Gamers Arena, The Linux Game Tome, or browse the Gaming & Leisure section.
