I just can't believe how I missed this great pacman addon. (love the name.. btw)

Just installed powerpill. Edited /etc/yaourtrc and set PacmanBin to /usr/bin/powerpill. Then set ADDITIONAL_POWERPILL_ARGUMENTS to --nomessages in ~/.config/powerpill/powerpill.conf. I can't even notice it exists but package downloads from Arch mirrors is now using my full bandwidth. Simply awesome. Another reason to stick with Arch. :)

I use powerpill. Just remember to enable mutliple sources in your /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist. :)

Oh wow, this looks fantastic. I'm going try it once I get home, the repos have been slow lately for me. :/

Use reflector to find the fasted mirrors updated in the last 24hrs and generate a new mirror list. http://xyne.archlinux.ca/info/powerpill scroll to bottom of page.

I only have a 384kb/s links so I don't benefit that much and while I'm updating/installing I can't browse or anything as my link is maxed out :)

aria2 is a good download manager though for normal everyday use as well.
