I would request that staff consider unlocking this thread about Canadian surcharges being placed on digital media with, to my understanding, the revenues being directed to the music industry. I contend that the assertion of the staff member who closed the discussion, stating that it was "not directly related to free and open source issues", is erroneous and that the subject is indeed of concern to all software users and *especially* those who support Free and Open Source Software.
