I'll accept that it's a bit faster, but *is it worth it?*
My needs are fairly modest - web browsing, office apps, music/video, Apache/PHP server, et cetera. But after reading this forum, it seems like there's still a lot of monkeying around to be done to get things running smoothly, which sort of makes moot part of what is so great about Ubuntu - ease of use. (Though, granted, I'd not be any better off with another distro with a 64-bit version like Gentoo.)
At this point, it seems like the only good reason to use the 64-bit version is to make full use of my shiny brand-new 3200+ XP 64. So for an intermediate Linux user such as myself, I ask again, *is it worth it?*
If you have to ask...then proabably no.
