At the bottom left of each post, under the part with the poster's name, there is an icon that looks like this [IMG]http://ubuntuforums.org/images/buttons/report.gif[/IMG] . To report a post, whether made by a staff member or otherwise, click that icon and tell us about it.

No need to be passive aggressive.
Everybody gets tired or has off moments. Those who do so are generally warned kindly. Those who are repeat offenders are escorted off the premises.
FYI, the presence of a smiley in the original complained-about post was intended to convey that the comments were intended as humor. The joke wasn't caught, but the intent was far from how it was taken.

I'm sorry, but I don't remember seeing any smiley face. I'm not trying to be difficult. If there was a smiley face, why would the post need to be edited? And the moderator spoken with? I just remember seeing that the moderator telling the op the he/she wanted a pony. And asking if the op had searched Google. The moderator did provide some links to assist the op. I do hope this is not being glossed over to make the moderators seem incapable of doing something that violates the code of conduct.
