Click or right-click. Apparently you have either Fluxbox, Openbox, or some other similar window manager installed. The clicking (or right-clicking, I forget) gives you the default Debian menu.

How far have you got down MY how to :D

If you follow it step by step you should be ok X is working are you at:

MY CUSTOMISING:

BLACKBOX: ?

or did you skip anything? like:

NOTE: now we update the debian menus so you will see your applications in blackbox when you right click on the desktop.

CODE:

update-menus

If not just follow instructions step by step. Are you on etch or testing (lenny) ? I can send you .config files but better you learn so you understand it.

If you let me know exactly where you are ( I'll add more detail ) if your confused others maybe also.

Keep pluging away blackbox is very stable and fast and can look ok as well :) Desktop: http://img516.imageshack.us/img516/6286/redg5zr9.png netbook: Mid configuration hence text still to large http://img352.imageshack.us/img352/4735/200811131730481024x600sjv7.png

Ok, so I am on the right track, I will keep at it and keep you updated. I guess having a mouse with a right click would be a good idea, lol.
