Really, It would be best if there were a sticky poll like this in Testimonials & Experiences forum so it gets more responses. Many of the posts in the Testimonials & Experiences forum are about quitting Ubuntu, and I'd like there to be a central place for people to see what the primary reasons are.

The poll is to find out which are the biggest problems that people have with Ubuntu, so we know where to focus our efforts on improving adoption:

  • Hardware compatibility
  • Stability
  • Resource use
  • Software support
  • Usability
  • Sane defaults
  • Theme
  • Security
  • "Hackability"
  • Installation

If one turns out to be drastically higher than the rest, we'll know how best to spend our time. (I won't waste my time learning how to contribute to security software if many more people have problems with software support, for instance. My time would be better spent contributing to Wine.)

I understand there's some flaminess, but can't those posts just be removed?

I understand the idea and like the impulse behind it. The thread doesn't seem like it would be terribly easy to clean up and resurrect. I'm sorry, we are going to leave it closed.
