Has anyone been able to find a solution to the iMac G5 problem? Where the system freezes at the brown login screen? I'm dying to try ubuntu (Live CD) but I'm no techy so I have no idea how to fix this problem...

thanks for the response. No, unfortunetly from what I gather there is a problem specifically with the iMac G5, something to do with the ATI video card maybe?? The solutions in that thread don't help.
