Below is a screenshot of my desk top. Is it a shot of an actual file I have open or a shot of a screenshot... It may not be foolproof but there is a way to tell...I think. Just wasting time that's all!

Looks to me like a screenshot of your desktop, which has a screenshot of an open file as the background image. Could be wrong, though.
Clues: The little widgets on the right, minimised panel in the lower left.
