Ughhh Just a week ago I got a Kubuntu 8.10 cd in the mail. and just now got around to testing it. And it turns out it is a defective cd! :(
lol. I dont get it. Why is it that all my burned Ubuntu CD's Seem to work better than the actual CD's I get in the mail?
Not really a big deal to me. just wondering.

How have you determined that it's a defective CD?
I can boot into the main menu. I have tried to run the live cd to test it out. And it crashes. every time. I have tried it on 4 different computers. Crashes. I have also tried to just install it directly. Crashes before It can even get to the installer. I have tried installing with Wubi.....Crashes. So I decided to boot the CD again and this time select the option. "Check CD for Defects" What do you know. Guess what it returned. lol :)
