Tried the good old apt-get update, then apt-get dist-upgrade here on my amd64 bit box from breezy to dapper.
Not good on two attempts thus far. The update seems to go 'good enough', but then a reboot causes all sorts of hell.
Only recovery mode is accessible.
I managed to get dapper flight 2 working on a clean install from a downloaded iso.
