I've got both, KUbuntu and OSX installed on my iBook G3. Is there a way to uninstall Ubuntu, without losing any data on the OSX-Partition?

I'm a beginner with Ubuntu/Mac, so any kind of help is apperciated :-)

Hmm, I don't think any OS supports sth like uninstalling. But you can simply copy the data from one partition to the other, and then format it or do whatever you wish. I may be wrong of course :)

You can safely erase the Kubuntu partition without damaging the OSX partition. That's _erase_ - don't attempt to re-partition with Disk Utility, which will definitely destroy the OSX partition.

Hi,

In an attempt to re-install ubuntu, I now have two copies on my windows XP system and probably another partition on the disk. Is there a way to UNinstall the second Ubuntu. Neither ubuntu has generated any documents I am concerned with saving. Any help and implicit instruction for a normal end user like myself will be greatly appreciated. Darteo
