Probably been tons of names planned for the future releases, not to mention tons of threads about that.
However, I'd like to pose a suggestion to honor the "home" of Ubuntu, the Isle of Man.
It is from those shores that the Manx breed of cat is known.
How about something like Mighty Manx?
Anyways, just a thought since we're talking about something that's nearly 18 months down the road.

I had some other ones like mannekin (or munia) and mongoose. but if they had something with 'add' in it, it would be pure awesome in my opinion.

Except that 10.10 will be the first release after an LTS release, so there will probably be *lots* of cutting edge packages involved.
So I'd suggest the prefix "Manic".

Here is what I would use: "Manic Mamba" or something similar. A mamba is a snake, an extremely fast one, as per the "Manic" part.
It has to do with Ubuntu in the fact that Ubuntu is very swift to get released (every six months) compared to other operating systems (every 2-3 years), and that Ubuntu also is a symbol of freedom, and considering mambas have a tendency to roam free and defend their large territory, I don't see why not.
My girlfriend and I were talking about this the other night (actually, I was talking about it, she smiled, nodded, and waited for me to shut up) - we were think manic mongoose.

Definition: affected with or marked by frenzy or mania uncontrolled by reason;

I'll have you know that I often consult my girlfriend when I get stuck of a programming problem. While she isn't a programmer herself, she understands the general logic behind it, and it is often the case that she has a way of seeing the problem in a way that I can't.

Oh, yeah - and have a minimal DE on what is supposed to be a very powerful media rig. Thanks, but not for me. Maybe if Mythbuntu had GNOME I would like it.
Or even better: Merge the Mythbuntu and standard Ubuntu projects, very similar to what you would find when you typed "sudo apt-get install mythbuntu-control-centre" in the terminal.
Mighty Meerkat.
Mythical/Mystical/Magnificent/... are all too long. From what I've noticed, all the realises have a two syllable adjective except Intrepid Ibex.
Hoary, Warty, Breezy, Dapper, Edgy, Feisty, Gutsy, Hearty, Intrepid, Jaunty, Karmic, Lucid
To put things into perspective:

I hope that 10.10 features more frequent kernel panics. Then it should use RPM as a package manager. Further more, it should ship with FVWM and run only Novell applications.
