Creating an IRC account

I guess my OpenID account name and password isn't recognized in IRC or something... I got Pidgin to open and load okay, but I haven't got an IRC account. How do I do that?

Nevermind. I spent more than 90 minutes doing *exactly* what the instructions said. Several times.

IRC is just not meant to be.

I withdraw my application. Perhaps the Sith, known for choosing a quick and easy path, could use a new recruit.

Should be pretty easy. To use IRC you don't need an account. You can log on and still not have an account. Logging and account with IRC does keep others from using your handle.

I used these instructions once and there are also IRC instructions in the console when you log on.
