Is plymouth coming to Karmic?

Recently when mark Shuttleworth posted about Karmic Koala he mentioned that it was considering Fedora's plymouth instead of the usual usplash.

Since then I've seen websites such as:

That claim that Karmic will be using plymouth. Is this true? Has it been confirmed that Karmic will certainly be using plymouth or are Mark's considerations the only thing revealed about it?
