At last! A real game :P

The rules are simple. Each poster must make a move that corresponds to the last move made (so if the previous poster moved a white piece you have to move black). Moves should be noted in standard notation (i.e. Pawn E2 to E4, etc). And the basic rules of chess must be adhered to. Also, once a counter move is made your move (no matter how stupid it seems in retrospect) stands. So editing your post to make it look like you made a better move is a waste of time :p. In order to prevent this I suggest anyone who plays quotes the previous posters move.

In order to keep track of the game you'll need a chess set (either a real world one or a virtual one) to move the pieces on. Obviously you'll need to move both black and white pieces, so if it's a virtual pne make sure the AI is disabled..

As I've started the thread I'll go first

Pawn at E2 to E4.

Note: In the case of two posts in succession moving the same colour piece only the first counts.
