Facebrowser/Login Experience

Sheesh, nearly forgot about this one. Really hope we see this in Karmic too. Will be a nice compliment to Plymouth.

Not to be too mean to the dev's, but pretty much anything would be an upgrade from the kind of creepy dark black thing, that came with Jaunty.

Well this was supposed to make it in for Intrepid. But then again so was Packagekit. Guess we will just have to wait and see. Really hope it makes it this time though.

I would like to see Login Experience in Karmic.:)

But I don't think so it will be ready. :(

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think it was talked about even getting it into Hardy Heron? However I would be surprised if we get it in Karmic, hope I'm wrong.

I think it s all related to graphic card. old graphic card can not display that kind of feature (opengl) we will see when nouveau and the intel drivers will be ready.

The Facebrowser needed GDM 2.4 and that didn't ship with Ubuntu, but the new GDM should be in Karmic and there is a blueprint about face browser for Karmic UDS so I guess after UDS we should know if it's coming or not.

Anyone have any fresh news on this? Hopefully discussions for this go well at UDS.

Heh, ain't that the truth. It's not bad for a default GDM, but changing that was near the top of my list.
