I've upgraded to Karmic, including the .30-2 kernel, and I'm liking it so far. One mystery is that the Sharing Options item is missing from the context menu in Nautilus, as far as I can see.

Has this been replaced by some new mechanism, or is it just missing in action until it gets fixed?

All I want to do is enable access to my Public folder from a Samba network - bit pointless having a Public folder if it isn't accessible from other machines on the network.

nautilus-share package was removed some point, so seems that there's the culprit.

But can't remember is it going to replaced by some other way to manage sharing options.

That is some comfort - if the package was removed that explains why I can't see the option any more.

But I do hope there is some replacement coming along - does anyone else know more about this?
