It's been too quiet! (or is it just me!?)

Anyway, the task is to list things/projects/stuff that you're playing with now, you know, could be compiled, or from an obscure ppa or a just nice find.

[*]Gnome Shell (I'm reserving judgment for now, but the animations are nice)

  • DeviceKit-disks -- Palimpsest is nice, though I've no raid array... only a wee netbook HD.
  • Zeitgeist -- This one surprised me, I had just left it to do it's own thing, then, after a few days, I opened the journal and saw loads of notes I'd written and other stuff I'd worked on. Is it shocking that in 2009 I find that really cool?

BTW, Wia, where is application, is also very nice -- it's the sort of thing that should be included with Add/Remove. Hmmm, might be something to add to the whole app centre blueprint.

Gnome Shell and Zeitgeist aren't going to be in Karmic by default, are they? I sure hope DeviceKit-Disks will be, though.

Yes, but the floodgates will open soon :):)

I'm fairly deep into Gnome-Shell--it's a interesting project that I feel I can make some worthwhile contributions for---I've had some good discussions with a couple of the devs & have been active in the bug work.

I'm waiting for Plymouth to get going--I was disappointed last cycle in that a couple of us had a nice start to a good-looking Ubuntu plymouth splash & the "help" that was to come from the design team didn't happen--I just hope the ideas we gave to the community get used.......:(:(:(

Other than that--I just roll with the flow & report the breakage:P:P
