Hello.

I was reading Slashdot this morning and saw a post about artificial vision in computer programs.

Could this be adapted to Gnome and made portable on a USB stick?

Hi,

It could, as it is pure Java. You just need to train the neural network to recognize what you want. This could be tricky depending of what you need to recognize, but it can be done. The new release of Neuroph contains the sample image recognition application that was described in article published at Slashdot. See http://neuroph.sourceforge.net for more.
