Ubuntu currently supports 1.8.0rc1 version and the final version is not on the list. Please add it there, thanks! :)

The RC1 became the final with no changes, apparently, so they didn't bother changing the package.

There is a newer patched version here: http://thegraveyard.org/daelstorm/nicotine-patch.php

It's super easy to get up and runing. Just download, untar, and run.

hi! just have a look here: http://thegraveyard.org/daelstorm/nicotine-patch.php and do this: New Archive: nicotine-1.0.8-daelstorm (September 11 2005) --> Download, extract ( tar -xjvf nicotine-1.0.8-da.tar.bz2 ), run ( ./nicotine )
