I had a probelm with not being able to use sudo after a fresh install on on my Ti Powerbook. I had to sign into root, and then change my permissions to allow my user to do admin. Sorry I am not more specific.

#8

Did you happen to do an expert install?

#9

yes I did. When you do an expert install, the installer lets you set a root passwd, so the installer does not give your user name admin priviledges.

#10

Well, to the OP, if you do a regular installation, your first user will have *sudo* privileges.
